Three Ways To Celebrate Fall
Fall in the Washington D.C. area is marked by a riot of browns, yellows, and reds as the leaves change color. Mornings are crisp, making us want to snuggle deeper into cozy chairs with steaming cups of spiced coffee. Here are three ways to fully indulge in this beautiful season.

INDULGE IN THE FLAVORS OF FALL

Fall is known for its hearty and warming produce like apples, sweet potatoes, pears, winter squash, pumpkin, and more.  So, bundle up in your favorite sweater, and head to your local farmer’s market. Not only will you be supporting the local economy but the farmers are the best source of recipes and techniques to make the most of fall fruit and vegetables. Plus strolling from stall to stall means you’ll be racking up steps. Exercise and fresh fall food, what’s not to love about that?

BRING FALL INSIDE

Is it even fall if you haven’t updated your home with seasonal décor? Luckily, you don’t have to go crazy to get your space into the spirit.  One of our easiest ways to decorate for fall is by adding warmth, fall scents, and soft lights with seasonal candles. Our Siena Candle really invokes the season, scented with late fall citrus blood orange, and champagne essence. Pro-tip: you can actually use the warm wax in our candles as a paraffin moisturizing treatment. Burn your candle for 30 minutes and let the hot wax cool (really important). Once cooled, pour a few drops into your hand to deeply moisturize your skin. Our candles are 100% vegan and skin-friendly.

GET COZY

Embrace all things cozy by wrapping up in a plush robe. One of our top picks is the Waffle Robe by Parachute. Turkish cotton keeps you warm but not too hot, which helps the robe transition well from season-to-season.  Its polished look is ideal for cozying up at home and lightweight enough to pack for a mini weekend getaway. We need all the cozy comforts we can get right now, little luxuries to soothe the mind and create your own sanctuary.
